Sobre sandalias / About sandals

The sandal is the first type of footwear used by man, having the same antiquity to that of pottery and basically protects the sole of the foot. A sole supported by ropes, belts or straps. The shape of its sole (except eccentricities) keeps the human foot close, something that doesn¬īt happen with the majority of footwear, and has been adopted through a distinct pattern over time. Often overly symmetrical, it has made our feet adapt to its shape. The sandal respects the anatomy of the foot and allows the toes to extend, liberating them of the constant constraint to which they are subjected to by other types of footwear. The conundrum of why the molds of most of our shoes are different from our feet is in need of a good antropological study…… or a psychological one.
